I am by nature a designer. I plan things. I organize. Compulsively. I am ADHD. It means I am what my friends call a Spaz, it means my judgement is crap, it means I looove to start projects, I adore a good challenge, I get obsessive, I don't finish things, I say things without thinking them through first.... Yeah.
I am highly opinionated, and I am usually at least half-wrong....
I love herps, dogs, cats, birds, and fish.

10 gallons, glass top with Marineland Single-Bright LED strip light, and Caribsea Sunset Gold sand. Life includes a host of live plants, and three Green Corydoras aeneus by the names of Jackson, Moultrie, and Sumter.
Aquarium 2:
3 Gallon Marineland w/LED, dirted with standard Top Fin gravel. Microsword, Mosquitofish, pond snails, generally an experimental tank.
typeof:
Freshwater
Rest of Your Aquariums:
Family tank: Unoccupied observation tank, undergravel filter, temporarily dismantled, so they say. It has been home to hermit crabs, minnows, shrimp, several creek critters, and a toadfish.
How I got started with aquariums.:
As a little kid I had three goldfish that lived for at least six years (a Black Telescope, and what were probably either Fancies or Fantails). Then I had a 20-30 gal tropical tank with a great number of fish. Neither were under my direct care. Later, we had a saltwater tank with local water and various local critters over the years. When I went to college, I just had to have fish!
Favorite fish:
Toadfish!
Fish I have bred:
When I was a kid our livebearers had a batch of fry. My current corys are the offspring of the previous residents of my 10 gallon.
Why I like fish::
I like animals. I don't know why I like fish. I guess because I've always been around them, and I like having an aquarium. I am always looking for some new and unexpected form of life to take into my care, because I like watching how different creatures behave.
Best advice:
Do your research. Use Google, use the library, and compare multiple sources for the best answers. I say the same thing to dog owners: use your head. Your new pet is a living thing that needs space to roam, the right food to eat, and a clean, healthy environment. (And for pity's sake, train your dogs! Love them, talk to them, keep 'em clean, and keep them off the bloody street.)
Other pets:
Dogs and cats. I want a firebellied newt, and more aquariums.
