About Me:

I'm Robert Stevens, I play the trumpet and the cello, enjoy raising fish and keeping aquariums, (although at the moment I only have one specimen of Ameriurus Natalis- the mudcat) However, I've only recently gotten into aquaria and I have an unused thirty-gallon tank that seems to be telling me to make a creation out of it.

Aquarium 1:

It is a 15-gallon, currently only with one Ameriurus Natalis a.k.a. Mudcat in it. He is almost 5 inches (4 3/4) and is wild. In his aquarium, I used sand instead of gravel (stupid me) so every time I change the water, I have to add some more sand. My catfish is leaving soon and being bumped up to th

Aquarium 2:

29 gal. *Current Project* *Under Construction* It's currently in my attic. Will bring down and start cycling today. Once it's done cycling, I'm going to bump up The Eliminator (my mudcat) to be it's resident.

Aquarium 3:

10 gal. In My attic. I'm going to move on to it after I finish cycling my 29 gal. and I remodel my 15 gal. into a planted aquarium.

How I got started with aquariums.:

I've always been fascinated with fish, and recently I got back into really working hard on aquariums.

Favorite fish:

My only one right now - my beloved mudcat. I named him The Eliminator. =P

Fish I have bred:

Convict Cichlids. =P they're so easy to breed. But I'll try to aquire a female mudcat of about the same size as The Eliminator (my mudcat) then breed them.

Why I like fish::

I'm just fascinated how entire ecosystems can be underwater and be contained and regulated (relatively cheaply, too, depending if it's freshwater or saltwater).

Best advice:

Don't buy stuff because it's cheap. Buy for quality.
