A cool old lady lol. Married forever with 4 daughters. The youngest is 18yrs old. Have 3 grandchildren(1girl2boys).Love riding the Harley with hubby and now addicted to fish.

Aquarium 1:

It's a 55g. with mainly mbuna cichlids. I'm working on getting a larger tank.

How I got started with aquariums.:

One of our daughters thought her dad and I needed a common hobbie for the winter months when we can't be on the Harley so late last summer she got us a used 55g. tank

I don't have one favorite.

Fish I have bred:

I haven't intentionally breed any but my maingano have fry often.

Why I like fish::

They don't pee on the carpet,shed, chew up shoes, & they're quiet. They are also very interesting, entertaining, and beautiful.

Best advice:

To people just starting out I would say. Do plenty of research before you start. Cycle the tank & have a water testing kit before you get the fish you want to keep. Decide on the type you want before buying them and know what their requirements and the compatibility of them is. Be prepared to do weekly water changes and whatever else it takes to keep them healthy and happy. Use a good food designed for your type fish and have good filtration.

Other pets:

A 15 yr old dog that doesn't pee on the floor, chew up shoes & is pretty quiet. I think she might be
