Aquarium 1:

I had a 16 gallon but recently had to go to a 48 gallon as my 2 Shubunkins got too big and had a hard time keepting it clean. I have an aqua clear filter rated to 70 gallons and gravel bottom. I sued Ammo carb for the insert rather than what comes with the filter.

How I got started with aquariums.:

Dont hurt me but when I was little I over fed my brother's gold fish Max and killed him. This last christmas I gave him an aquarium set up (not the fish) for christmas. It gave me the bug. I read up on everything I could and bought my tank in December. I set it up and got my fish in February. I've been hooked ever since. I love watching them, worry about them, wonder if I'm doing things right. I was told that you lose fish when your tank is new and I want to avoid that so I look for exper

Why I like fish::

I think that the way they move through water is fascinating and free. I wonder how they breath in water?? I love to watch them swim and wonder what they are thinking when they look at me from under their rock.

Best advice:

Go slow. Plan your aquarium and the fish you want slowly. Don't go get 20 fish and expect them to live. Care about what you put in your tank
