Aquarium 1:

40 gallon breeder - FOWLR at the moment, maybe mixed reef someday.

45 gallon jungle tank - planted freshwater tank, stocked with neon tetras, guppies and a bristlenose pleco

My 40B formerly housed Lake Malawi cichlids. I enjoyed having them and may have cichlids again someday.

How I got started with aquariums.:

While I was growing up my parents always seemed to have at least one aquarium going. I remember freshwater tanks with swordtails and mollies and a huge saltwater tank with various inhabitants that dad never had much luck keeping alive.

Fish I have bred:

Unintentionally bred mollies once. Freaked me out when the mommy fish started eating the fry. Not good.

Why I like fish::

They're relaxing and fun to watch. It's interesting learning about different fish and aquatic plants and critters and how to care for them.

Best advice:

Do your research first, join AC and ask lots of questions from people with experience.

Other pets:

1 dog (Maltese) and 3 cats indoors. Chickens and cows outdoors.
