I have a plan in the works for a 10 Gal Love shack and nursery to breed fish in. I have decided on all of the decor aside from the plants. I would like it to be heavily planted for the fry. The plants however should have a very exotic look to them. I am thinking of things that flower like red flare water lily or a bowl lotus like "Beautiful Dancer" or "Wann Shou Hing" very beautiful flowers. I still need ideas for the ground plants as the flowering will only add ambiance from the top and not much hiding near the bottom for fry. I am going with white sand which will look nice with the pink blossoms. Would those not be too large for the 10 gallon? Just corious.By the way I just joined your group . Hope I can be a helpful member. I don't have much exp. with aquarium plants but I can do some research and help when I can. My Water Iris in my little pond( 200 gal.) are doin great and if there is a way to keep them small I think they would look real good in an aquarium .
If you are referring to the plants I can't say for sure, you may be right. The lotus however are considered a bowl lots, they are extra small and said to be able to fit in a bowl. As for the size of the plant itself it may require a lot of cutting back, trimming and care. Not real sure. Good insight. I guess that's where I am trying things that may not have been done before. lol I can look this up on the website and see the overall size of the plant. What is your next big project? Any ideas?
