Hi,

I have 2 goldfish, one is 2 years old and about 6" and one is 4 years old and about 8" long. I feed them Aquarian goldfish pellets and I was wondering how much I should be feeding them? At the moment I don't really measure it, I just tip some in in the morning when I get up and by the time I've had breakfast they've usually eaten it all. I know the usual "as much as they can eat in 5 minutes" rule and on the packet it says "Dispense 1 or 2 pellets per fish on the water until the fish stop feeding". (I feel they would never stop feeding if I did this)

This morning I checked how much I normally feed them and it was about 20 pellets. Does this seem excessive? They do c**p alot and are constantly searching for food and uprooting the decor but I assume this is just what goldfish do and doesn't mean they are really hungry?

Any suggestions appreciated.

Thanks,
Brian.
