I was at my LFS today, and couldn't resist getting this fish. (Fyi I already finished the fishless cycle no worries) I have always wanted a white or yellow betta. And at least in my area they seem rather rare, so I was very lucky to come across this one. I still have to get some gravel and live plants, but so far he looks fairly happy in his new 15 gallon. Suprisingly he has already accepted food, and is quite active. (Hopefully he and the tetras I am getting can get along, otherwise I will move him to a 5 gallon) Nothing really unusual about him however he does have a slight twist on the end of one of his fins.(genetic?) Great coloration on him though, perhaps I can enhance it further with a good diet and home.
Anyone have any name suggestions? I was thinking perhaps Society, Scout, Whisper or Kintaro.

Update: Well I have decided to name him Society. I normally don't name fish but I figured I might as well since I can tell him apart from a group of tetras....Still doing well, did a 25% water change today. All ammonia, nitrite and nitrate readings were at normal levels. I might go and get some tetras fairly soon, in a week or so. Probably 4 to start off with. Crossing my fingers there will be no issues.
