When the cardinal tetras where in QT, they came down with fin rot and eye cloud. One or some med killed my filter BBC.
Either Furan II, Kanaplex or Triple Sulfa the culprit. I found after treatment that only the ammonia BB were affected.
Nitrites have been steady at zero. I had been doing daily pwc to remove ammonia, so not been testing Nitrates.
After moving the pleco w/eggs and 7 Black neons to the QT, I added some seeded bio-max

Spawn took place first of the week. I removed a clutch of eggs kicked out of the cave after attempting to put them back, but he pushed em out. Moved him and his cave to the QT. I then moved the 7 cardinals out of QT to 29g.

On Tuesday during wc's I moved the male long finned ABN from the 55g to the 29g. Made the move due to dosing 55 with Clout. He quickly claimed a cichlid stone cave that hasn't been used. He has stayed put and cleaning house. The female long finned ABN looked swollen yesterday.
I'm not doing anything special to encourage breeding, but I may do another wc to remove more nitrates tomorrow.
Monday the 2nd bought Triple Sulfa since FuranII and Kanaplex not working. This is Friday and have started third round of Triple Sulfa and Kanaplex. After this dose, if eye-cloud remains, I will dose some salt and call it good unless i see it worsen.
The battle continues. Stopped using the Tetra Fungus Guard after 2 treats and switched to Furan II and Kanaplex.
Ive used at least 5 doses Furan and Kanaplex. Fins are back to normal nearly, but eye cloud remains on at least 3 fish.
Im thinking Triple Sulfa, mentioned by Rocksor, may be the one I need to pick up. Research says it may be better at higher ph.
Furan is said to work even in higher ph, but must be dosed daily after wc's. Im having to do that now anyways
