been dosing some flakes a little bit at time.
Ammonia up to .25 ppm
Nitrate: still around .25 ppm
Cycle Day 8: ammonia level is 0, Nitrite 0.
Nitrate level is greater than 0 but less than 5 ppm
got a Fluval M100 heater in this morning.
Ammonia level is at .25 ppm / PH is 8.0 today.
tried to install the old heater last night, a Tetra Whisper 30-60. It would only come on at the highest setting then only stay on for a minute then shut off. The water temp never got over 75, so I knew the heater wasn't working.
I removed the heater and checked the ammonia..still around 4-5ppm.
I decided to do go ahead and do about 90% water change and checked again. It is now a little above .25ppm
thoughts: could the one plant and algae ball kept the ammonia

Day 5, Wed Jun4: Ammonia level still around 4ppm. I will probably do a 50% water change this weekend if it is not getting any lower by then.
tank contains:1 Anubias lanceolata and an algae ball.
I'm going to install the heater and turn up the heat.
