I had forgot about this cedar stump I found about 9 months ago. I found it, and another smaller piece still soaking in the gray tub I placed them in back then. They are completely water logged. I sprayed all the loose stuff off this afternoon. I will prolly soak it again in clear, Primed water to leech out chlorine and more tannins before adding to the 29. I'm excited about getting this piece installed and planted. Currently I need to improve my lighting and get a lot more plants.

I have a 6 gallon moon jellyfish tank, a few months ago when I added the jellies the ammonia rose I did water changes and vacuumed the food that accumulated on the bottom (and decreased the food). Recently the ammonia has finally hit zero again but recently the nitrite levels spiked and are at about 5.0ppm, the smallest of the jellies has begun to flatten and decrease its pulsing. I have done water changes to try and lower the levels is there anything else I can be doing to help decrease the levels
I started out with some fairly low quality fish, vasicly whatever was available to me and blue. I have one powder blue F I will keep.the rest are now black w/ cobalt blue irridesent. A few interesting patterns one with a mutation of extra finnage. (I figured since the mutation was non life threatening it may be interesting to see what happens)
OK, here is a picture of my new betta tank which is just beginning to cycle. It is a 10 gallon with two small sponge filters connected to an air pump which I hope will not move the water too much for Mr. Betta. The bubbles are moving the surface a little, but I hope not too much. I plan to add a moss ball eventually. What do you guys think? Will Mr. Betta like this tank? I could always add a few tank mates later.
