  1. Cardinal Tetras-Fungus/Fin rot

The battle continues. Stopped using the Tetra Fungus Guard after 2 treats and switched to Furan II and Kanaplex.
Ive used at least 5 doses Furan and Kanaplex. Fins are back to normal nearly, but eye cloud remains on at least 3 fish.

  2. Let's Get This Fish on the Road

The Betta Berth has been up and cycling for a little while, but full build-out was on hold due to repeated weather delays. Regardless of the why, over time certain fish begin to stand out: fish with their own unique personalities and quirks apart from the rest of their school, ...

  5. Thermal Regulating Pet Beds as Applied to Aquarium Temperature Control

A while back one of my aquarium journal threads temporarily diverted into a discussion on thermal regulating pet beds, which require no electricity, might be used to control aquarium temperatures during an emergency situation like an extended power outage. The theory behind these beds is based on the basic heat transfer principle of heat flowing from areas of high concentration to areas of low concentration. If the pet is warmer than the bed, heat flows from the pet to the bed, warming the bed and ...
