Have two peacocks and they are doing great, I feed them every 2-3 days frozen bloodworms one time and frozen brine shrimp the other. I also feed other foods each day to the other fish, so they are very well fed. I change water about every 5-7 days (approx. 8 gallons ). My question to ask it that one of the eels/fish seems to hang off the heater every so often, the water temperature is around 76 degrees so I'm thinking it's not to cool, just don't don't if this is a problem?, the eel does swim away when I touch him and he acts very healthy. I'm thinking the eel is just hanging out where ever and he/she finds this a comfortable spot?

That's it. If the water was too cold the eels would be acting sluggish or stiff.

I've had my eels do that as well, sometimes they look impaled to fake plants. My waters around 78.
