new to the forum i am looking for information on paradise gourami's.i have two one male and one female..and the last couple of days they have been acting strange..one has been down the bottom of the tank amongst the weeds and the other has been floating directly above it at the top of the tank..this has been going on for about four days..now they are both at the top of the tank in the corner..they are eating but are remaining in the same place..is one of them pregnant?is this normal behaviour? does anyone have any advice?:fish:

As to your Paradise gourami I assume that is the fish aka a paradise fish. They are like bettas in that the males will bully and sometimes kill each other. I suspect what's happening is that one is dominant and bullying the other.
Best suggestion is to rehome or return one to the fish store as this is a situation that will not come to a good end :o(
