I've seen these attractive fish and was wondering if anybody has kept them? I know there are several spieces to pick from ranging from very small to at least empeoror tetra size.

Just general questions like compatability, water conditions, size, ect.

I have kept Normans lampeye killi. The are awesome fish. I do not have them anymore because the are top dwellers and jumpers. I do not have a lid on my tank and 3 of them jump out while I was at work.

Lid or hoods are a MUST!!!

If I ever get them again i will defintely get a lid.

Thanks for responding. Did you keep them with other fish?

I have a 3 norman's lampeyes ive kept with a school of threadfin rainbows, in a heavily planted tank. Nothing too special on the water, i just keep it clean, and at about 74 degrees. They are great little fish, i wish i could find some more of them at the fish stores around me, ive heard they are easy to breed.

In the past week, i have had 2 fry pop out of the java moss and join the parents. If i see a few more, i will move the rainbows and try to build a nice school.
