the remaining piranha is eating again finally :D . Thought I was gonna lose this one too but I think it proved me wrong. The ick is under control, temp is between 79 and 85 and it's LOVING the warmer temps. It's ALL OVER the tank. I've NEVER seen this one this active before ever.

we closed on the house yesterday and in between stripping the wallpaper i've been trying to figure out where to put the 55gal. As soon as I can get it set up I'm gonna try to get it a tank mate, which i'm hoping should be toward the end of next month.

The remodeling i guess you would call it for the house is taking longer than I expected, but that's OK. I'm having the electrician put in more outlets for the bigger tank. Scar(that's what my 7y/o daughter named it after the body rot/ick incident) will be the last thing to go into the house. The guppies and the goldfish will be the 1st tanks to go up. I want to be extra careful with the piranha.

The pet store is up there is looking to see what it would cost me to get a 4-5in red belly for in with this one who recently has decided to be a pig(has managed to eat 2 dozen goldfish in a week).

I currently have 2 10gal(1 has the guppies and the other has the goldfish), a 20L that has the piranha for now until I move, I have a 1gal for guppy fry, 3 10gal in the basement(1 for feeder fish, 1 for aquatic frogs for 9y/o daughter and the other we haven't decided yet), a 5gal in the closet and the 55 gal waiting for me to be able to move. the only tank NOT going is the 20L which I promised to set up for tropicals for my mother when I move.

i'm hoping I can get another 'buddy' for my piranha once the 55gal is set up.

Well I'm moved into the house FINALLY. Never thought I'd get in here. The electrician seriously stiffed me so I moved the 55 gallon for the piranha into the dining room(ought to be an interesting dinner conversational piece lol). The guppies all made it but we lost the 3 fancy goldfish.

Scar is STILL in NJ. My mom's been 'babysitting' him while i've been trying to get things set up here *THUMBS UP TO GRANDMA* lol. I found trying to get another RBP up in this neck of the woods is a NIGHTMARE. The local FS has only babies and doesn't know if they can get me a 4-5in one *sigh*. They DID have one and put it in the same tank as a black(the woman had NO IDEA the 2 couldn't be mixed). I'm VERY CLOSE to the NY Border but they're illegal there. Starting to think i'm NEVER gonna be able to get a second one.

I know the tank is WAY TOO COLD for him right now(it's at 65F) and need to get that temp up considerably to like 78F. So he may be in NJ yet another week until I get it up .
