I would personally strongly disagree but I could be mistaken. Maybe they meant the opposite? Angels attack smaller tetras?

Suppose it depends on which species of tetras; I mean, a pirhana would. I'm at a loss on why they'd claim tetras attack angelfishes; in 35 years I've never seen it.

Neons can be fin nippers, but they tend to avoid fish that eat them, such as angels...

Yeah my Nanny has 5 neons in with her large angel fish and the neons are always on the opposite side of the tank than the angel.

In the wild angel fish prey on neons
its best not to keep them with big angels unless you like expensive little colourful feeders

I have one angel that eats neon's. My others don't.....yet. I think they turned that one around.

I've read that some of the larger, nippy tetras like the Buenos Aires tetras (which I have) and the serpae tetras are incompatible with angelfish because they'll nip their long fins. Maybe they got the species wrong?
In the entire Characin family, there are definate species that will munch, harrass, etc. Angels. However as we all have been saying Neons???
:jaws: <---- Neon Tetra
:8: <--- Angelfish
