View Full Version : Fastest fishless cycle?
Good lord. Day 4 of the new tank. 0/0/25 water parameters. How?
AC110 loaded with established Ehfisynth, established driftwood, temp at about 88 degrees.
I didn't think it was possible this fast!

it is! i have some special product that has cycled my tanks in 2 days. i bought a new filter, and just filled my 10g yesterday and i can fully stock it today already
I didn't even add any product except ammonia. I guess the large volume of established media is what kicked it in.

I cycled in 6 days so you have me beat. I loaded my tank with the driftwood from all my tanks. All new water and new gravel but used the filter floss (good and grungy) from my other tank. I also cleaned the gravel in an existing tank and dumped the nasties in the new tank.
Nice going!
Thank you! Now I have to let the water temp stabilize and goldie can start enjoying his new home.

lol, he prefers his "gravel" chair.
hes like a really fat person, eats and sits, and maybe a hour a day tries to get exercise by swimming into the filter output, but in the end ends up sitting again

It is. I cycled a 10g and my smaller tanks in 3 days using just the ammonia that is in our tap water, some established filter media and gravel and raising the temps. My 20g cycled in 6 days the same way.
