I recently upgraded to a 36 gallon tank from a 15 gallon one and I just used to use a cup to take out the old water. Instead of spending 5 hours doing this, how do I take water out quickly and efficiently? Thanks!

http://www.pythonproducts.com/aqprod.html Aqueon and Lees make similar products also.

I agree that the python mentioned above or similar Aqueon or Lees product is your best bet. They are invaluable for larger tanks. But in the event that your tank is not near a faucet or that your faucet cannot be adapted to use one of these, at least get a bucket and manual syphon. I can't imagine using a cup for anything larger than my 2.5 gallon tanks. And even for these I've used the syphon.
