Hi I am in Thailand and I used to be quite an aquarium nut and now I have returned to raising fish. Although this time around I hope to raise them commercially. I have 4 concrete tanks (usually holding 6000 liters each) and a natural pond, but at the moment I am only using the tanks. I only have one tank with fish at the moment which has about 400 Tab Tim. They will be heading to the pond soon and I will get a few thousand more fry for the tanks.

Although this forum appears to be for pet fish, I do think that the information I can glean from here will be useful. So I have uploaded a few pics of my setup, and I welcome any questions.

Cement ponds is how many of our farm raised tropical fish are kept here. I see no problem with it. Nice ponds.

Yes, but not yet, they are only about 10cm at the moment.
We serve with lots of hot chilli peppers and barbecued in a salt crust.

Btw what is your feeding rate ? i feed a 30%cp floating feed at 20 % biomass daily and vegetable waste on weekends

I had to think about your post, I thought you were feeding them biomass, but I realize now you mean the fish as the biomass.

I feed 32% protein content pellets, and they get rice bran in a fine powdery form. I don't have vegetable waste available because the pigs get it.

I feed them the way I have fed all my past fish, I watch to see how much they eat in a couple of minutes and then give them a little extra. They get fed four times a day. I can run fresh water in continually so I don't get concerned with over feeding. I know I should calculate the biomass, but they are doing fine under this system.

I have now moved the original batch of Tab Tim to the big pond, and I have picked up 3000 new fry.
