33g....need help...

ok well my Nanny (grandma) has a 33g tank and she has 1 angel (fairly big), 1 med common pleco, 2 gouramis (blue), 5 Neons, and well the question is this....Can she get about 4-6 show guppies in there and some corys???]

I think the angel might consider guppies as food. I have one angel that has now killed a few neons and danio's and they had to be moved. Guppies swimming around on the surface might appear pretty tasty.

As far as the cory's with the pleco I have no idea but that doesn't sound right, either. She should get another tank if she wants guppies and corys.

ok thanks so much lady hobbs. Well the neons that she has in there havn't got picked (sp? lol) on yet by the angel but she really like the guppies. Well i could tel her she could try it but they might die.

What would be some other very colourful fish she could get for the tank???

Maybe some swordtails??

I have a preference toward the red-tailed rasbora's. They not only make nice dither fish but are very active and swim in schools. They are top swimmers with none of the annoying behavior of danio's with that constant chasing they do. The red-tails are pretty in a grouping and very hardy. I've had the same 6 for nearly 2 years.

Possibly some tetra's as well but if she goes with those, have her get a large school of one kind of tetra. I hope she knows how large that pleco will become? They get humungous!

yeah she does know how big the pleco gets...she is actually of thinking of trading it in at our LFS for a small one.
Well the rasboras sound nice but the thing is...our LFS is just a little place that has 10 fish tanks and well they can't get all of those kinds of fish so thats why i don't think that they can get the rasboras. She has tried before (the girl who owns the LFS) and she has yet to ever get some. So yeah. I am still trying to think of some fish she could get. I will look right now and post some of the fish that she likes.

thanks for the suggestion. maybe my nanny will beable to get some somewhere else.

EDIT- ok well me and my Nanny are going to just go to the LFS and look at the fish and see which ones she likes and then i will see if they are good. The 2 owners of the store are really smart and know alot abot fish so i will just ask them.
