Yeah, I get home from work yesterday and am about to run out the door again, only to find that my dirtbag Amano Shrimp had snuck into my breeder tank! He didn't hurt any of the fry, so I was cracking up. He was just wandering around. If only he had cleaned a little while he was in there, lol.

Amano shrimp can be anywhere. I always like when mine is upside down under my driftwood. I am actually picking up about 3 more amano's tomorow or saturday.

They are actually fast too, swim faster than most my fish or do whatever they do. When I am doing maintenance on my tank and have my hands in there, if I go anywhere near my shrimp he darts backwards and swims away so fast you can't even see him.

i know. when i was buying them i got 10 (2 sadly died :( ) and well it took him like 20 minutes to catch them and there were lots in the tank. Also they are good little jumpers when they are in the net. If you drop one on the floor they are pretty well gone. They are so fast on carpet and stuff too. lol.:c10:

Yeah, I love my Amanos. I want to trade in my Chinese Algae Eater for a few more of them, but I'm not sure how many I would need to keep my 10 gallon tank clean. But my fiancee gets 'creeped out' by the shrimp, so we'll have to see.
