They won't eat your aquarium plants, but if you put some zuccini or or cucumber they will love it.

I have kicked around with the thought of planting my loach tank but they tear into lettuce when I put it in the tank for the silver dollars so don't know for sure. I think they eat everything.

I just copied this off a site on the net:

Try plants that are tough and fast growers.

I've got 6 in my heavily planted tank and they seem to leave the plants alone.

I have never fed them vegetables either - so they may have no idea that plants can be tasty!

They don't usually eat plats. To be safe keep them well fed.
