Hi all! i'm new here and have not quite learned how to navigate yet. may take a bit. But my fiancee and i have 6 gourami's now. We got three more last night.so far so good. we have a golden, blue, giant, dwarf, sunset and paradise. the golden is being a bully right now. he used to be when we first got him then he died down a bit but with the new ones he loves picking on the sunset one. im hoping he will get bored with them soon and stop. but i was wondering if anybody had any advice on gourami's. i love having them (and so does my cat Sprawl, lol). any help will be great!

Golden gouramis are very aggressive, especially to other gouramis. He may not settle down at all thus forcing you to re-home him.

Also keep a close eye on the others as well. Sometimes males gouramis just won't let other gouramis live in their tank.

You have some fish that will get very large. I hope this is a large tank or you are ready to upgrade? For example, your Gold, Blue, and Paradise will get 4-5". The Giant will get at least 12". For the Giant alone at 12" you would need a 75 gallon tank to give him room to turn around in.

when we bought all our gourami's all the signs said they would only get like 3'' max. and the people said our tank would be a good size for them. do you think that the store lied about the size they will get?
