Your tanks sound pretty over-crowded to me.

hey there, welcome to the forum.
thats alot of fish, your filtration must be pretty good to handle them all!

there is alot but my filter systems in both work really well
the fish are healthy and happy
and breeding well
once they finishing breeding i sell or give them away
the 3ft fish are small
and the 4 ft are the larger fish
i dont have any agression in my tanks,
my water levels are perfect
:)
thanks for the welcome

i know where your coming from as my 3 ft is a tad overstocked too, but my filters are great and i do water changes like twice a week.
all the fish are healthy and there is no aggression in my tank either.
i think it has alot to do with your set up and water conditions on how many fish can happily live in a tank.
if there where any problems id remove some fish to lessen the load but right now its all good.:11:

exactly
i do the same thing
i figure if the fish are healthy happy and breeding
then i am doing a good job

im about to be a fish grandmummy to some guppys, all the girl guppys are pregnant aswell as my swordtails. and i have noticed two of my albino bristlenoses have been hanging out in the same pot for about a week or so (maybe pairing up???) so my conditions seem to be alright!!!:hmm3grin2orange:

good luck to you then. baby fish are just sooo cool!
im just lucky at the moment with all of them wanting to breed and stuff but its not like the fish i have are difficult or anything lol.
guppys and swords are pretty easy fish!
my danios are regularly getting fat id say ready to spawn and they are probably doing it in the tank, i tried transferring them to another breeding tank in the hope that something would happen but i didnt have any luck,
but im setting up my fish room soon so ill have the spare tank space to give it another go.

That is pretty cool
i wished i had the space for a thrid tank
i currently have very small eggs on my tank windows
lots and lots of them, my platties think that they are an extra feed.
damn platties LOL
i would love to seperate the egg layers from the live bearers but i cant find the space for a third tank LOL

what fish are you going to house?
Ark6ie

im not exactly sure yet, but i just got a pair of kribs that will move down there and my pair of convicts.
and my angels, most of the livebearers will be moved down there to. my main goal is to breed fish so ill set up lots of breeder tanks.
im also seriously considering buying a couple more clown plecos and have a tank just for them in the hope they might breed too.
its really good that my bf is really into fish and he works at the local pet shop (my soon to be retail outlet lol!!) so the possibilities are endless! :hmm3grin2orange:

how awesome dont i wish,
i would love that, my fish just breed where they are and hopefully something bigger dont get them
LOL
i have quite a few that just love babies LOL
and having a bf in the bussiness how lucky are you,
It must be great being able to go into see him and all those pretty fish,
what are kribs??????????
Ark6ie

a krib (kribensis) is a pretty little cichlid. im only new to them myself but ive learnt this much :
theyre a african cichlid that grows to about 10 cm in length. ive heard they can be kept in a community tank but ive got my pair in a tank to themselves. the female is alot smaller than my male and heaps more rounder. she has a lovely cherry coloured belly while the male is more of a fleshy pinky colour.
apparently breeding for these guys is fairly regular so im hoping that im lucky enough to get some bubby of our very own lol
and yeah having a bf in the trade is excellent!!! except for the fact he occassionally thinks he knows better bout my fish and i disagree but it turns out he was right!!! i hate being wrong aye!! lol
