Can a bristle worm attack and kill a fish? We had a 6 Line Wrasse and when we got up yesterday morning it looked like it had been beat up, it was dead when we got home from work yesterday afternoon. None of the other fish seem to be aggressive at all....we have a pair of clown fish, a firefish goby, a pair of pajama cardinals, Peppermint Shrimp, Hifin Cardinal and Pencil Urchin....

No, bristleworms don't attack fish. They will, however, consume dead fish. It's their job. No bristleworm that shows up in our aquarium attack live fish.

bristle worms are scavengers, they keep to themselves and rarely attack corals, and almost never ever fish.
...nope...it wasn't the bristleworm...

My clowns eat up anything that die in my tank.

Now we've lost a pajama cardinal.....None of them seem agressive when we're watching....could the "bristle worm" be something else. The two fish have been found dead just at the edge of the rock we saw the worm under.
