Is this a bristle worm? Do we need to be concerned? It's several inches in length.....

Looks like a bristle to me. Dont pay them any harm. Unless it gets too big, to where it can knock over your LR structures.

They are actually great little detritovores!

Ok, thanks. We were just admiring our new fish from 'saltwaterfish.com' and out he came...They're really disgusting looking. Of course our wrasse has already eaten one of our peppermint shrimp....

How big is your tank, and about how long is the bristle?

Ya, lol. If it were a baby eel I would definitely keep it though, those things get so expensive. There has been a 4 footer at my LFS and probably 6 inches in diameter for like 5 months. It is $599.99, as soon as you come to the 210 gallon tank he pops right out and stares at you. It's scary, that is an insane animal.

yep, just a bristleworm. i haven plenty, they clean and leave my corals alone
