Dissapearing Siamese fighter??

Hi - this is weird, i have been looking in my tank tonight, and my beautiful siamese fighter has vanished - he was there 2 days ago - and now, no trace at all????? i have taken all of the plants and rocks out, and still nothing. If he has died, is 2 days long enough for my other fish to have eat him? i have:

5 Neons
1 Plec
2 mollies

Im new to keeping fish so i have no idea!

the neons might have been nipping him, and maybe hes hiding or jumped out of the tank. heres what to do-

- check the floors
- check the filter inside
- swish some gravel and see if hes dead and buried under it
- check in and around all decor

So sorry you've lost your fish. I have one that will literally jump out of the water at feeding time. If you've looked all over the tank then looking around outside the tank would be my next suggestion too. Geez, I hope he's just hiding from you.

We used to have the little frogs in my tank as a kid, they used to jump out of the tank at night and we'd find them in the morning. Lost 2 that way. One we couldn't find at all. Then during christmas (about 6 months later) we found it behind the tv's entertainment stand....it looked like a dried up leaf!!! *Yuck!*

a long time ago i had a betta iwth a BAD case of fin rot. It was healing, but he decided to jump out. I found him behind my desk, which really sucked becase he was this beautiful salmon color, i'd never seen anyhting like it.

I have pulled EVERYTHING out of my tank - there is no way he can get out - there is a tiny hole, a centimeter wide where i put the food - someone has told me that the other fish would have eaten him - but in 2 days??? There is no trace of him at all, and he was a big f***er!!!

I was so dissapointed, usually i put my finger on the tank and he comes charging up all puffed out, looking like a pitbull chewing on a wasp lol.

My partner has told me im not allowed anymore :scry: :scry:
