I'm trying to set up a 20 oz bottle for DIY yeast. In the 2 liter bottle, I used 2 cups of sugar to 1 t. of yeast. So how much do I use for a 20 oz bottle?

I realize it's not a perfect science but I'd like to be close.

Thanks

Your asking a mathamatical fuddy-dud here, but 2 litres is 2.04 quarts, so 20 ounces . . .
My brain hurts. Please help, oh math geniuses.

oh god I suck at math completely.....oddly enough I was great in science! lmao.....

2 liters is about 67.6 ounces

I would say use a 1/3 of what you use to put in a 2 liter.

So 1/3 of a t. yeast and 2/3c sugar.......I think thats right. Maybe add a pinch more of each to make it more even.

It would be about 1/3 of each? So, for crying out loud.......how about 2/3 sugar to 1/4 t. yeast. Is that near enough to count?

Well chrona uses 2 cups of sugar and only 1/4 tspoon of yeast on his 2 liter DIY Co2.
I use 4 cups of sugar and 3/4 tsp yeast in my 1 gallon gatorade jug.
I would say use 1 cup of sugar and only like 1/4 or less of the yeast.
The sugar isn't what matters so much. I think the sugar determines how long the Co2 will last before you have to redo it.
