This fish is written as a subunkin but i was unaware they get this large

Dang! That thing is HUGE! At my local wal-mart the other day, they were offering shubunkins for 1.88 and large shubunkind for 3 dollars. I got on from the 1.88 tank that was the same size as the ones from the 3 dollar tank :D

i bought my shubunkin when he was an inch long hes about 5 inches now

Many types of goldfish grows rather large.
Do you have any clue as to how big that is.

jeepers that is fish is the most enormous fish I have ever seen in my LIFE!!! (all 12 years of it anyway LOL)

Hi, Shubunkin can grow to foot long so they good pond fish & need lots of room for swimming.
I have 2 lionhead, chestnut snail in 20gal with 50 power pump in that tank!
27gal long has 70 power of pump - calico Oranda, sm Black Moor, red & white Ryukin & chestnut snail Planted they have room to grow they as they are small & they grow up to 6" to 10" depending kind of fancy goldie.

i bought 4 shubunkins recentlly and their pretty small (about 1" - 1.5") and was just wondering how quickly they will grow so i can put them in with my larger goldfish (about 6" +)? does anyone know? thanks

they grow fast.
You could have made a new thread instead of digging up one from last september. lol
