That's red root floater when those lovely roots grow long. I didn't want to hijack Scottys thread to show 850R.

How long do the roots get? And can you cut them back if they get too long?
Nice plant, I've never come across the likes.

I see no reason the roots can't be trimmed back. They sure are some cool plants.

Never been a big fan of floaters but have to say that one I would like to have... :ssmile:

I love floaters but they sure are a nusiance if you have a lot of flow from your filters. I had duckweed that was scattered everywhere, stuck in the filters, etc. Big mess. I even glued the ends of a plastic strip together and tried to keep the floaters inside that. Failed.
Very very pretty. :1luvu: New one for me too...
