Up until Sunday, we had successfully maintained our planted 29G with 1 mini-pleco, 8 cardinal tetra, and 3 small blue rams for about a year. Sunday - Monday we were out of town, and came home to one lost blue ram. We immediately did a 50% water change.
Last night we lost another blue ram and 2 cardinal tetra, and this morning when the lights came on in the tank we observed what appears to be ich on our poor fish. We've bumped the water temperature up to about 82, and are in the process of doing another water change as I write this, however in our planted tank and with our pleco still alive, based on what I have read it does not seem like the best idea to add any salt to the tank.
Is there any medication that we can dose that will not kill something? We can observe ich spores on all the fish - is it pretty much up to the strength of the fish at this point whether they make it or not?
