Actually they are great to watch, we had a couple of mystery snails in one of our tanks, and to see them climb plants, then stretch and swing over to the glass was a real sight.
We have not been game to get any more, as we have loaches now.

I was actually surprised at how active my mystery snails are! They're always doing something...

...some of my marine snails are very active too...others not so much...depends on the species...

i was curious about the water temp that mystery snails require? i want to put some sort of snail in my goldfish tank, it stays between 18-20 c. is this too cold for them? i cant put them in my tropical tank(like cracka i have loaches-i found out the hard way).

they need around 75F, else they get cold and their metabolism goes really slow

I know when I first got some snails I was surprised at how fast they can move. I was thinking it would take them all day to go across the tank, but they can fly (comparatively, of course)!
