Ever since I purchased my female molly about two months ago, I have noticed a stiff, red, hairlike thing hanging out of her butt... Does anybody have any idea what it could be and if it is harmful? Maybe a parasite???

What is the least invasive way to treat for internal parasites. She has gone through a lot with ick and i don't want to add anything more to stress her out. If I do have to do use something which is the safest. I don't want to put her back into the hospital tank because it is too small and I feel it is stressing her out. I have already treated her with antibiotics and malachite green (for the ich and the popeye caused by the ick). I will also have Endler's in the tank tomorrow since they are coming in the mail. The tank she is in is medication free right now. Any ideas?

Give some treated food if you suspect parasites. Are you sure it isn't poop? Some fish get constipated and like to drag it around with them. I mean, is it always there?
