2 months agao i went down to my local fish shop to get some feeder fish and i saw a brasiliensis, in a tank with about 30 zebras. it had half a tail and a quarter of all its fins left it was just getting chunks taken out of it, it was so sad. so i told one of the assistants thea it had to b moved so he moved it to its owne tank. i felt so bad that i couldnt save it, so the next day i went straight down to the shop and saved it. 2 months on its put on weight and it has its fins and tail back and its getting along verry well with my big male i thing they have paired up and thats my story of the fish i saved from death.

Great job you did. And one of the reasons my tank is uhum...slightly overstocked.

Sometimes one really cant walk away, when seeing such a poor creature.

:19: Sesational and well done, isn't it such a great feeling to rescue and see a fish recover then grow up healthy - well done!

The LFS that I bought my Betta from had some fantastic coloured mongrel platies, but the shop has a rule - if buying feeder fish, you cannot select anything - what they get with the dipnet is what you get.
$1 a fish.

So if I haven't a spare spare spare tank, then I'm going there to get amess of colourful platies. I like platies.

Congrats! I have done that before as well. My LFS had a bumblebee goby in a tank with 3 damsels, they wouldn't let him out of a corner. I watched them harass them every time I went in there. I finally got my tank cycled and I got him. He had no fins hardly and was stressed but he finally got better! I also took a sail fin mollie female out of a tank with tiger barbs once.
