View Full Version : odd glowlight
I have two glow light tetras (getting more soon)and one sometimes starts swimming really quickly over and under the other one. When it trys to swim in another direction the odd one cuts in front and starts swimming in circles around the other fish. Is this normal for them? What is it doing? Also its body color darkens to almost a charcoal grey and when it stops its colors return to normal....Sorry I keep saying "it" but I dont know if their male or female.

It's one trying to incite the other to mate. Usually its the male doing the dancing you described. It's doubtful that they will successfully mate as most often those bought in stores are juviniles.

Iv had them for atleast a year now would they still be juviniles?

Nope, they are adults. If you get more of them, say five or eight more, you'll see lots of wooing. Glowlights are very prolific.
