New baby guppies

One of my female guppies dropped fry in my tank. Over the last 2 days i have found 14. Seems like every time i take a peek at the tank i find another guppy fry! The tank has fake plants and some other structures for them to hide in so I think that is why I am still finding them. About how many can one guppy give birth to at one time? I have breed guppies many times before but i have never had more than 5 fry at a time.

Well from experience only...I am not exactly sure(dont remember) How many they can drop but my guppies have been dropping at least 25-30 maybe more each time they have babies...I have a tank setup just for the guppy's because they breed so much. They will take over a tank with fry, if the conditions are right for them. I dont worry about pulling them out to a fry tank either, they will find a way to survive in the big tank...the would if they were in the wild. Also they are really good at hiding in the gravel, plants, decos, whatever they can find. Some even hoover at the water surface behind the filter. They are sneaky lil buggers. I hope all goes well with them.

Well not to cheer your day up or anything but my average is 80 fry a drop from my females! It depends on you water other fish and her size. She could drop 150 and you only get 2.:8:
