I was wondering if anyone has used this product..after seeing Cocoa's thread i want to make my plants a bit greener lol..So far their growing alright and pretty green, except one of my plants is getting kinda brown...I'm currently using Nutrafin Plant Gro Fertilizer Sticks( a stick per plant).

All of this with only..20 watts of lighting:19: They've been good for about 3 months, i even trimmed one of them once and replanted it! But i want to add a few more plants so i was hoping for some input on the liquid ferts..

Thanks!

thats what im using now. i added some of the hagen stuff, and in the 20g with the 80W light my cabomba shot up 4 inches after the liquid stuff. its worth it, i have 3 large 24$ bottles of it. it doesnt have dosing but i go 2 doses a week

its really worth it. at first even with my lighting my cabomba was as tall as half the 20g, and i added the liquid stuff and 48 hours later they were literally growing too tall for the tank

i literally think theres steroids in it or something. i added some to my 55g, and a cabomba stem grew a foot in a few days

JEEZ...I wonder if i buy a plant almost dead from a lfs if it can bring it back to life lol..The only good looking plants are like 5 inches tall..ehh.. I did get a plant that was about a foot tall tho and it grew 6 inches after a week ... never grew again... Except once it died( all brown) i left it there a few days, and out of no where its suuper green. I need to research plants more lol.

edmonton is full of LFS's. within 30 minutes of driving from my house (5 minutes from downtown), theres 4 petsmarts, 3 petceteras, 7 PJ's, 1 big al's, 1 aqua giant, 1 little oceans, 4 superpets, and 1 small pet store.

What I don't like about the plant tabs is knowing how many to use. I don't want to over fertilize either and to me, the liquid ferts sound easier and better able to measure the amount given.

"The Flora Care Co. suggests 1 capful per 10 gallons for the Hagen - Plant Gro Aquarium Fertilizers"

Found this at [Only Registered Users Can See Links.]

Hopefully helpful on the dosage!

yep, i knew that, but it didnt say 1 dose per month or week or whatever on the bottle, so in my 55g i do 6 capfulls twice a week. thats what i read somewhere on a website. thanks for the other capfull suggestion though!

Try looking around your local lfs`s shelves.

Totally pointless. They have a whole lot of nothing. BUT, thanks for the advice!

Right on! I ordered some Seachem ferts to see how they do. Just a random choice for no real reason other than they had them at Bigal's and they weren't more expensive than anything else.
