To give an answer, we need more information. Let's start with the basics. What size is the tank? How long have you had it set up? What all fish do you have, including recently list fish? What are your readings for ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate? How much water do you change, how often?

Is your tank cycled? Fish have an organ called a swim bladder, it helps to control their buoyancy in the water, so when they die this bladder can fill with air, a recently dead fish will float and after time the air diffuses out and they sink. So your floating pleco will have died fairly recently IMO
