Since I once again have gotten side tracked from working on my fish room I thought I would start a journal on another project that hopefully will be finished a lot sooner.

This one is a 50 gallon FOWLR tank that is supposed to be placed in the WC in front of the toilet. The project is a part of buidling a new bathroom alltogether so there will be a few weeks before it is done. Figured it was best to start the journal early.

Not really sure.

But i am leaning towards a pair of clowns and a show fish like an angel. Have not ruled out a group of anthias either.

I want some sea horses but I do not think this is the right tank to make a sea horse tank.

I can help you with you debate on the Anthias. lol They need a lot more room than a 50gal. I personally wouldn't consider anything less than a 125gal tank for a trio of Anthias. They are extremely active fish and for the most part rather delicate. Although you will see most books and online sites recommend a minimum of 55gal for a single Anthias, it is not entirely accurate. I've never met an experienced hobbyist who has kept them who is willing to put them in anything less than a 125.

Thanks for the input. They will have to wait for a larger project.

I am well aware that I have a lot of more research to do along the way since sw isnt my strong side.

Progress is being made and the stand as well as the rest of the bathroom will be plastered tomorrow and than painted during the weekend. Should be able to start the wood work next monday and be ready to start building the actual tank a few days after that.

What did you do with that angel you asked about a few threads ago? Is this tank for it?

This tank will be a little small for a cortez angel. (the one i had was released back to the reef it came from). If I do a bigger reef I might get a new one.
