My turquoises are pretty, but Wow, some of these are amazing. I think I'm going to have to bump my "dream rainbow tank (http://www.aquaticcommunity.com/aquariumforum/showthread.php?t=88267)" up to 200 gallons so I can include more varieties! :hmm3grin2orange:

My favorite rainbow site as well.

Are these fish freshwater or saltwater?

I only ask because they are pretty and I'm too sick right now to read anything on that website.

Elizabeth, rainbows are fresh water, and in my limited experience, amazingly easy to keep once they're established. Nice little critters. I wish there were more varieties available, though.

(Hope you feel better. We've all been sick around here, too. Bummer.)

Online. Order eggs or mops of eggs and hatch your own.

Sweet I'll check it out. I'm planning on building an in-wall rainbow tank for the future.

I have boesemani and turquoise. Both nice fish. The ones I had that I didn't like were the Austrialian Spendia, very commonly sold here. They were nuts.
Easy to breed them but the young grow soooooo slow that it gets annoying waiting for them to grow up. They tie up a grow out tank forever.
