Heres my 2 Powder Blue Gouramis fighting over a cool spot in the tank. I eventually had to break up this little cove so they would exist peacefully in the 55g tank.

They are beautiful! Do you think they would do ok in a 29g with a betta in it? I wanted some gouramis but some ppl advise me not to have bettas and gouramis together.

ive had bettas work with some gouramis, dwarfs, silver, and powder. the only thing that ive ever had trouble with is platys, they get mistaken for other bettas

I've had a betta with Platys with no issues. I don't have luck with Gourami's though :( They're so pretty, but they just die.

These 2 guys are very peaceful. They Don't bother anyone but each other. They live with a female betta in the tank with, mollies, amazon puffers, guppies, Khulis, swordtails and some shrimp.

Even though they are very peaceful I would never stick a male betta in with any kind of gourami, just not worth the risks. The betta could attack the gouramis or the gouramis could attack the betta. Maybe even nothing happens, you just never know.

Bettas are really a hit or miss in a community tank I hear. If i ever got rid of my 2 dwarf gouramis I would try to throw a betta in there as my cardinals and rasboras are fast swimmers.
