I'm looking for a furniture quality stand for my forthcoming 55-75g tank. I found a company called R&J in Jacksonville, FL that have a pretty nice selection. They even do color matching which is a bonus since I have a custom Cherry A/V cabinet and bar with corner curio that I'd like to match to. Anyone know anything about them or can suggest other good mfrs of similar quality stands?

I was also planning to get the canopy to give it that nice "finished" look. Or are these more trouble than their worth?

Thanks!

I haven't heard of the company, but is the furniture specdially made for holding aquariums?

Yes, it is. You can see them at [Only Registered Users Can See Links.] but earlier I missed the part which said they don't sell direct to the public.

Still, I found one site which sells them and the prices were reasonable (~250-400) for stands in this size with canopies included.

Guess I need to keep looking....

The Sedona looks nice. Only thing is that, because of the way the supports are, you really only want to put it on flat, solid ground (ie, not on carpet)

My son got me a canopy for my 55 gallon but for me to mess with, it's just too heavy. I still have it stored and haven't used it yet. For one thing I can't get to the HOTB filters with that canopy on even with the cut outs for them.

I think I saw a place that makes them from fiberglass. Now for me, that would be great. But the wood ones, if made solid, are very heavy.
