Hello everyone, i've posted here today to ask for your advice about a possible new aquarium purchase. I found on Craigslist a $200 dollar aquarium and a $100 aquarium.

My question to you my fellow fish lovers is if either of these tanks would be a good deal and if they both are which one is more worth my hard earned money. I know the prices are different but just curious if its a rip off.

first the $100 one.

now the $200 one.

i would go for the salt water tank, the bigger tank looks a little beat up and like cocoa said that warping could cause some problems, plus u'll need to spend extra money on filters and heaters and everything else.

so number 1

I vote 1. out of those 2 choices.

#1 all the way. Stay well clear of the acrylic tank, not because it is acrylic, but because the warping and weak stand are just not good. You don't want to have to deal with that nonsense.

First one to me sounds better and the lights are worth what they are asking.

I would be worried about the second one for $200. It has a warped stand which means it probably is unusuable and if the stand is in bad shape, how bad can the tank be? Scratched, leaking.......?
