Title of thread is supposed to be 'Peacocks NOW in 75'.

I re-did my tanks. I took the best 11 (out of 33) peacocks and put them in my 75. They seem very happy (technically more room per fish). Here are some pics:

Very pretty fish. Looks like the females are colored up as well as the males. What's the spotted one? Never seen one look like that? Unusual but pretty.

These are all males. The females are a dull gray.

Are you talking about the one with black blotches on a very bright base color? Those are called OB. The name is from OB mbunas (means orange blotched, as in orange and blotched, not orange blotches). And (at least supposedly) this color morph in peacocks was developed when someone crossed them with OB mbunas. I am not sure how true that is though. Considering how closely related all the Lake Malawi cichlids are I would think the genes are in there somewhere, even if they are not as common. And there does not seem to be any other differences (such as in the facial structure).

In which one? Since none of these are known to be pure-bred, it has to be assumed that they are not. Most likely most are hybrids of some sort.
