I have a trio of Ngara Flametails. Both females have held for the first time. I think they both ended up swallowing lol. I tried to strip one of the females last time she was holding, but it didn't turn out well almost killed her. I think they are to small to strip but i'm not sure. I now have one holding for the second time. And I was wondering what I should do? They are in a 10g with an aqua clear 20-40 hob filter. Is the current to strong in the tank? I'm not sure if that is why she didn't spit last time.

Depends on what you would like to do in the future. You should never read to much into the first brood failing. Not the second one either for that matter. But if she continues to fail than you will have to start stripping her. If you would prefer that they spit themselves than I would give them one or two more tries before starting stripping them.

Do you think that's to much flow in a 10g. The fish are healthy and will soon end up in my 55g with the rest of my fish. Hopefully I will make the transfer when I get a larger tank that way i'm not rearranging the tank twice.

The current should not be a problem provided that there are atleast one cave that is more or less protected for the current for each female.
