Brown Algea on Plastic Plants

Just a quick question, I am having a problem with Brown Algea forming on the Plastic plants in my aquarium. I'm new to all this and sometime I will try real plants,but in the meantime is there anything that would work to clean the plastic?? Also what might be the cause of the Brown Algea?? I change water twice a week about 30% in a 50 gal tank and all my water tests are fine.Too much light....?

Could be that your lights are on too long. 12 hours a day is plenty.

You can clean the off in a mild solution of bleach and rinse well.

How old is the tank and what kind of rocks/substrate do you have in it?
