It is just pouring out here at 3:30 AM. I am thrilled. MI is under a total NO BURN including campfires, dumps, etc. Everything is brown and dead.
Temps have dropped to 47 degrees tonight! Where else can you live that temps change 45 degrees in one day. LOL

Hobbs,
You lucky dog. Its been around 107 here with obscene humidity, and they are predicting 114 by Wednesday. Both the furred four-leggers and the furless bipeds are hiding hermit-like in the AC 'til winter.

We've actually had a very wet and cool summer this year, which is good because our forest fires situations get critical most years. The Okanagan Valley is in a semi-arid area of Canada and our average summer temperature is close to 40 degrees celsius and very little rain (if any) between early July and mid-September.

It's been a long dry summer but southern Wisconsin is also finally getting some rain. A bit more at one time than we can handle, actually.

Very hot and dry in Arkansas still. Around the 100 F mark, had been around the 110 mark. No rain either, no burn deal is here also.

it finally stopped raining here today. it has been raining for the past 2 days now...which i normally would think was just fine except that yesterday i had a field training exercise with my cadets. so here i was with a couple others on opfor out in the woods 3 hours ahead of the cadets sitting and waiting. we were all soaked...so much so that we kinda said piss on it let's just cross the river we're already drenched. a poncho only does so much ya know.
We had a horribly hot July...now we're having a wet, miserable August...
I prefer the cooler temps. though...
Had a couple of massive downpours...now I have water that leaked into the basement and soaked the carpeting...despite shampooing the rug and having fans running to up the circulation...it still smells musty *blech*

lol, i have nothing to do! i went to a chinese place and ate and they do EVERYTHING for you, im surprised they never chewed my food.
its almost 10 pm here and theres nothing to do. i have to go to the airport tomorrow for the devil 9 hour flight. the german wings flight went well except for a baby screaming.
and hilarious thing in germany. theres a place where you can make youre own pizza and you get to stuff 1 small bowl with toppings. i spent 10 minutes stuffing it and got all the olives and most of everything in it, that was one crazy pizza

Hit a pub and go for a pint. It'll help you sleep and relax for tomorrow.

I swear NC is like the only place in this country that isn't getting rain lately. lol We've been under a severe drought for a while now. The wind blows the slightest bit and it looks like fall with all the leaves and pine straw flying off the trees. The grass is brown, the flowers are dying, etc. Blahhhh!!! I can't even walk to the mailbox in my barefeet without feeling like i'm walking on needles, it actually hurts!! lol

Yeah its pretty much North Carolina, South Carolina & Georgia.....Florida (or atleast south florida) seem like they're getting a good amount. Its just too dam hot here not to have rain. Not to mention we've been having record breaking heat lately. Its suppose to be 103 degrees today (thats w/o heat index temp). Yuck...lol
