You've had time to give that AquaClear a pretty good trial period so what do you think of it now? Still happy with it?

I was reading the reviews on the 110 and the reviews are nothing but good. One person reported they use two-110's on their 75 gallon Oscar tank and the water stays perfect.

For what it's worth, I've got an AC110 on my 29g and am loving it.

Glad to hear it. I will be switching all mine out as well. I am "over" the bio-wheels. Thanks

It is good. It is a big step up from any other HOB, and about one or two steps down from a Fluval.

aquaclears are amazing. i have pretty much all the models and they rarely let me down. before i had canisters on my 55g i had the aquatech filter that came with it and the largest biowheel and the largest biowheel sloshed water allover and the left side where the biowheel was was so moisturized that even the hood grew algae on it.

you cant go wrong with a 110.

How much wall space will I need? I have it set to 6 inches now and will that be enough? The Emporer is rather large and I've allow 6 inches for that one.

The AC110 measures about 14 inches length and 6.5 inches wide.

You only need 4.75" between the tank and wall though.

Good! I left 6 for good measure just because of the time I messed up and had to break down the whole tank to move it away from the wall 1 inch!!

...speaking of which...

...NOW we might be painting the basement...I think if I'm careful I can paint behind the 55g with a small roller...but not behind the SW tank...and I'm NOT tearing it down...

...need to get creative...

Hmmmm...I never thought about that before...uh oh. I guess I REALLY like my living room colour. lol b/c it's staying now that the 100gal is here. I guess there is some beneift to HOB's over canisters...at least they sit further away from the wall with HOBs...
