Have any of y'all ever done this? Would you? If so what site did you use?

Live-aquaria.com is a common one.
I have never done it and I don't think to many have but from what I understand it's really a hit or miss.
If you are going to be there the next day as soon as they get there I would try it.

You don't have any good local pet stores around you?

As long as you buy enough to justify the shipping charges.

I buy the majority of my fish online, as the only fish store around is Petsdumb. I have a wholesale license so I can get the esoteric stuff. However, there are two retail sites I use: fish2u.com and the aformentioned liveaquaria.

I wouldn't mind buying fish online because most pet stores around here only have the usual "standard" aquarium fish, and nothing too exotic. I'd really like to get some nice Killifish, but it's rare to find them here. Anyone know of any Canadian sites?

You might try joining the American Killiefish Association. Members can sell/trade eggs and fish. Its where I got my Northobranchius rachovii specimuns. I know they have international members, and there may be fellow members in the GWN.

I saw and article on the AKA in an issue of Aquarium Fish International, that's what got me interested in Killifish. The only problem with buying fish in the US is possible customs issues. Something I'll have to do a bit more research into.

Wouldn't think customs would bother with eggs in a plain brown wrapper but fish would be a problem. There are AKA members in Canada which would make it easy for you.

Will have to look into that! Thanks!
